Four Mini-Teaching Clinics by RAY LUCK (RL) & DUNCAN MACMILLAN (DMA) will be held on Saturday morning January 31st, 2026, from 10 am to 12 noon.
This event is offered as a practical benefit to members and students to encourage higher performance standards and provide students an advance opportunity to perform Student Day repertoire.
The clinic is open to student performers at all levels. Teachers may invite their other students to attend as auditors.
Clinics:
A - 10:00am to 10:30am (RL)
B - 10:30am to 11:00am (DM)
C - 11:00am to 11:30am (RL)
D - 11:30am to 12:00pm (DM)
To Teachers:
You may invite any student to perform (e.g. those who participate in the Student Day levels). Each teacher will be limited to not more than two student performers and may request a particular clinician. The final list of participants, however, will be decided by the clinicians who will aim to include as many teachers in the clinics along with a range of playing levels and repertoire. We apologize in advance if not all of your submitted students can be included as performers.
Since a maximum of three students can be accommodated in each clinic, playing time will not exceed 3' (a longer piece may be interrupted), and the average teaching time, about 6'.
Performers are expected to remain for the entire 30'-clinic (at a minimum!) but are welcome to observe the other clinics both before and after their own performance.
