Community Service Awards

FSMTA offers two Community Service Awards annually:
Special emphasis is placed on service to the community – which is the essence of each award. The applicant must be completed either by 9th or 12th grade during that school year. The applicant must be recommended by his/her applied FSMTA teacher AND either a music teacher or the principal from the student’s school. There are also provisions for Home School Students.
Applications are due to the State Chairman by December 31st and are to be submitted electronically.

- The Local Presidents Community Service Award – given to a 9th grade student in recognition of his/her leadership, achievements and service to the community in the field of music during grades 7, 8 and 9.
- The FSMTA Community Service Award for Twelfth Graders – given to a 12th grade student in recognition of his/her leadership achievements and service to the community in the field of music during grades 10, 11 and 12.
